Gem Fire have been specialists in the fire protection systems industry since 1985. GEM Fire Service is an independent company engaged in the Design, Installation, Commissioning, Servicing, and Testing of a complete range of Fire Protection Systems.

Our years of experience in the industry mean there is very little in Fire Protection we have yet to encounter, and allows us to apply the knowledge that can only come with that experience to help find a solution that meets your needs, and complies with Australian Standards and insurance requirements.

Team Training Commitment

Gem Fire employs our own team of System Designers, Fire Sprinkler Fitters, Fire Alarm Technicians, And Fire Fighting Equipment Service Technicians, as well as administration staff, and as such focus on continuous improvement for our staff, so you can be comfortable all our staff are up to date with current Australian Standards and good practice in the industry.

Graham Millard – Director / Estimator

Graham has over 45 years’ experience in the Fire Industry and started GEM Fire in 1985. Graham thrives on solving clients’ problems in a practical and efficient manner. If there is a problem with your Fire Services, Graham and the team will work to find a solution.

Kai Richards – General Manager

Kai started at Gem Fire in 2011 and has used his time at the company to become well versed in all aspects of Fire Protection. Kai has a variety of knowledge across the entire Fire Services, and if he doesn’t know the answer, will go out of his way to find it for you. Kai is a problem solver and enjoys delivering solutions for our clients.

Maree Richards – Financial Controller

Maree oversees the financial operations of GEM Fire Service, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency across all processes. From budgeting and reporting to cash flow management and strategic planning, she provides clear financial insight that supports informed decision making. Maree’s professionalism, approachable manner, and strong attention to detail give both the team and clients confidence that the company’s finances are managed with care and precision.

Daniel Carriera – Project Manager

Daniel is our Project Manager and responsible for coordinating fire system projects from planning through to completion. He works closely with clients, contractors, and out technical teams to make sure every project runs smoothly, stays on schedule, and meets compliance standards. With a focus on clear communication and attention to detail. Daniel ensure each project is delivered to a high standard and with client satisfaction front of mind.

Travis Rickard – Mechanical Supervisor

Travis is the Mechanical Supervisor at GEM Fire Services, bringing strong expertise in fire system design and maintenance. He oversees the mechanical side of projects, ensuring everything meets Australian standards and operates safely. Travis works closely with both clients and technicians to keeps systems running smoothly and prevent costly breakdowns. His practical knowledge and problem-solving skills make him a key part of the team.

Ilias Tzintzis – Senior Fire Systems Designer

Illy is our Senior Fire Systems Designer, with years of experience creating safe, reliable, and compliant fire protection solutions. He specialises in designing custom systems for a wide range of properties, from commercial and residential buildings to large industrial sites. Illy works closely with clients, builders, and facility managers to ensure every design is practical, efficient, and meets strict Australian Standards. His attention to detail and innovative approach make him an invaluable part of delivering projects that keep people and buildings protected.

Chantel McFall – Service Manager

Chantel is our Service Manager, overseeing the day-to-day management of maintenance and testing across client sites. She ensure all systems are serviced on time, to standard, and with minimal disruption to daily operations. With a hands-on approach and a strong focus on reliability, Chantel plays a key role in keeping buildings compliant and clients confident in their fire protection.

Thomas Shortall – Business Development Manager

Thomas is our Business Development Manager, bringing a strong background in property, growth, and business development. He works closely with clients to understand their needs and connects them with the right solutions, making the process simple and effective. Known for his approachable style and commitment to service, Thomas ensure every client feels supported and confident.
